Flyfishing
holidays in the Bahamas
Each
year from November to May we offer 7 or 14 days of guided sport in one of the
best fishing destinations in the world - the tidal flats off the coast of South
Andros Island in the Bahamas.
You will be staying at the Bonefish Bay Club run by Jerry Bottcher who also owns
the famous Hungry Trout fishing hotel in Upper New York State. His new establishment
is in full view of hundreds of miles of white beaches, flats and crystal clear
water. 104
miles long and 40 miles wide, Andros is the largest of all the Bahamian Islands
and yet the least developed. It is home to the world's third largest reef and
is recognized for it's diving and fishing. It has a lush green interior covered
in dense forest and bush; surrounded by white sandy beaches lined with palm trees,
this is how you would imagine a Caribbean island to be.
We
depart the UK for Miami and reach the Bonefish Bay Club the next day by taking
a spectacular 47 minute charter flight to the island. The Club is just 15 minutes
from the airfield.
